About our Class
Our Spring/Summer/Fall Concealed Carry instructor is Andy Vissers from Eagle Eye Firearms Training LLC. More information is available at www.eagleeyeFT.com. Our Winter Instructor is Ed Schilling of the Safe Shooting Educational Foundation and Ripon Gun Club.
This four hour class is designed for law-abiding citizens who plan to apply for their concealed carry permit. We have tailored information from a number of resources into a class designed to provide students with the basic knowledge, skills and attitude we believe necessary to carry a concealed weapon for self-protection. This class includes handgun safety, understanding your responsibilities while carrying a gun, interacting with law enforcement officers while carrying a concealed weapon, avoiding confrontations, and knowing when you can, and more importantly when you cannot, use your gun to defend yourself. We will discuss how to react and what to expect if you are involved in a shooting.
Upon successful completion of this class students will receive a Training Certificate documenting four hours of handgun safety training, which meets the application requirements for a Wisconsin resident CCW permit.
There is no prerequisite for this class. Cost will be $60 per person.
